All information collected and received during fingerprinting and the dissemination of background check results is solely intended for NBCI use and will not be shared with any third party. We ensure that all confidential data remains secure and strictly confidential.
No information collected from you during the fingerprinting process will be shared, rented, sold or loaned to any entity outside of the NBCI network, except for the designated recipient indicated at the time of fingerprinting.
The registration form filled out and signed at the time of fingerprinting serves as the official document of the transaction, indicating the recipient of the criminal history record search results from the State and/or Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The results will only be sent to the recipient indicated on the form, with some instances where the results are sent directly from the State.
The registration/order forms and information from background check requests are also kept confidential and only shared with the requested party as required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
The fingerprint cards received for scanning will be destroyed 30 days after the transaction is completed and stored in a secure facility accessible only by authorized NBCI personnel.
